It is the requirement of the Murphy Group Main Board of Directors, the Murphy Integrated Management System and also ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001,
that we assess the competence of subcontractors and suppliers to satisfy ourselves and our Clients that they are capable of producing the required quality, carrying out work
safely and in compliance with all relevant standards and legislation, whilst minimising their impact on the environment and community.
Also, an important part of the ’Construction (Design and Management) Regulations’ deals with the need to employ people and organisations who are competent and
adequately resourced. HSE L153 Guidance [Managing Health and Safety in Construction – Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015] recommends
that the person who engages a subcontractor should make certain enquiries to assess competence.
All subcontractors and suppliers are obliged to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct and our Company policies on Anti-corruption & Bribery, Equality &
Diversity and Drugs & Alcohol
